Thought Vault was made by operators, for operators. We built the tool we wished we'd had: one place for everything a team needs to know, with proof that people have actually read it.
It started with a shared drive.
Policies in one folder, procedures in another, three versions of everything and no idea who had read the latest one.
We tried the usual wikis and document tools. They were either built for software teams or did half the job. So we built Thought Vault around the things that actually matter when you're responsible for a team: getting the right information to the right people, keeping it approved and up to date, and knowing it's been read.
